Schools Art – Aboriginal Art

The monthly schools’ exhibition continues to show the wide range of talents of Leek’s pupils.

The colourful new June display is of Aboriginal Art by Year 7 students at St Edward’s Church of England Academy. These vibrant paintings on canvas have been made using collage with tissue paper and string to create bold textured images and certainly bring some warm sunshine into the Foxlowe corridors.

During May artwork from All Saints’ First School was on display, including ‘Beautiful Butterflies and Curly Caterpillars’ from the Nursery, together with interesting Creative Maths work by Year 2 and skilled Creative Writing and Paintings by Years 3 and 4.
