One minute you know who you are, where you are and what you are doing. The next minute your mind’s a blank slate… A Finnish Melancomedy.

A new stage adaptation of the Cannes-Award-winning film by legendary film-maker Aki Kaurismaki, one of Finland’s greatest modern storytellers:  produced by New Perspectives Theatre Company.  “Four decades experience of adapting written works for the stage. What some might consider theatrical difficulties New Perspectives revels in as artistic challenges” Reviews Hub

We meet our anti-hero near a shoreline, abandoned with no memory of his name or past life. Taken in by an eccentric community, with a disused shipping container for a home, he begins an accidental romance whilst adapting to his new way of life. But the past doesn’t leave him alone for long…

Featuring a cracking live soundtrack, this part melancholic love story, part deliciously deadpan comedy takes you on one man’s extraordinary journey from anonymity to unexpected salvation.

A professional theatre show brought to us by Live&Local, supported by Arts Council England and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council.

Tickets:   £11.00 in advance  (£13.00 on the night);  £6.00 for students.  Tickets available 19 February.
