Chris Bevington Organisation + the Emma Jonson Trio

In 2014 Chris Bevington realised a lifetime’s ambition to record a Blues based album drawing on influences such as Robert Cray, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Walter Trout, Eric Clapton and Joe Bonamassa.   After months of hard work, the first album ‘Chris Bevington and Friends’ was released to critical acclaim here in the UK, USA and globally. The album charted in the UK Blues charts on 4 occasions during 2014, 2015 & 2016 and in the USA Blues charts in 2015.

Album 2 followed in 2016 and the band included a host of Guest Musicians, Manfred Mann’s vocalist Robert Hart, 2017 Blues UK Award winning vocalist Rebecca  Downes, Chris Aldridge from The Climax Blues Band, Steve Overland from UK rock band FM and 10cc drummer Paul Burgess. Album 2 also charted in the UK Blues Charts 5 times and added to the 2016 Top 40 Playlist and also Airplay by Paul Jones –BBC Radio2.

The current line-up of this highly popular nine-piece outfit features Jim Kirkpatrick from FM, plus the fabulous duo Vocals of Kate Robertson and Sarah Miller from Nearly Dan and the Vocal and Guitar talents of Scott Ralph.  In addition to local girl, Sarah, the band will also feature the prodigious guitar talents of Leek’s own Jordan Swann, certainly someone to look out for in the coming years.

2018 saw the release of the fantastic new Album “Cut and Run” featuring 12 original tracks written and produced by Scott Ralph and Jim Kirkpatrick as played on the Paul Jones Show on BBC Radio2. The Album hit the IBBA UK chart for 5 months running, No 1 in May and June. The track ‘Got to Know’ has also hit the European Top 100 Chart.

The band will be supported by award-winning singer songwriter Emma Jonson. Emma has supported some of the UKs top acts on tour including Jamie Cullum, Heather Small, King King and Roy Wood. Her unique performance combines sophisticated original songs with energetic rhythm and blues.
