The bicycle, an amazing tool for change. Activists and cities all over the world are moving towards a new system. But will the economic powers allow it? Bikes vs Cars, the latest film project from Bananas!* and Big Boys Gone Bananas!* director Fredrik Gertten, looks into and investigates the daily global drama in traffic in five major cities around the world. Bike advocates have their say but so do people who love their cars.

“Breezy, intelligent, diffuse but uncluttered, Fredrik Gertten’s documentary “Bikes vs Cars” could be called a tale of congestion-plagued cities. The film, which examines the high cost that urban centers, especially Los Angeles and São Paulo, Brazil, pay for accommodating automobiles, benefits greatly from a range of viewpoints.” New York Times.
