CUCKOO’S NEST FOLK CLUB presents BERNARD WRIGLEY.

Affectionately known as ‘The Bolton Bullfrog’, Bernard has been delighting  audiences all over for 50 years now. He’s forged a reputation with seriously daft songs and humorous monologues, together with his highly respected ability on the guitar.

He’s an actor as well as a singer and storyteller. Barry Clegg – the hapless rocket builder whose wife Lisa left him for Zak Dingle in Emmerdale, 3 episodes of complaining in Dinner Ladies with Victoria Wood, & then Dodgy Eric in Phoenix Nights with Peter Kay, where he insisted that Brian Potter hire a bouncy castle with a fifteen feet phallic extension.

Radio listeners will have heard Bernard’s contributions to the Mark Radcliffe progs on Radios 1& 2. Drama lovers will recognise his dulcet tones from quite a few plays and serials on Radio 4 as well.

At Foxlowe Arts Centre on Thursday 14th March he’ll be performing his unique blend of songs, stories, monologues, very silly one verse poems and guitar playing.
