After the initial sell out success of Cath Walton’s Foxlowe and her families Foxlowe arts centre are pleased to announce the next Foxlowe Talks.

Wednesday 21st March - Geoff Browne: Headlines & Deadlines. The inside story of how newspapers became what they are and why they do what they do. Includes local history as seen through the Post & Times and silly headlines that don’t mean what the writers wanted them to mean.Geoff’s regular column in the Post & Times informs and entertains readers week by week with a professional style and a unique blend of humour and insight.

Wednesday 25th April - Carol Phillipson: Through The Eye Of A Needle. The talk will show how a hobby developed into an, at times, almost full-time occupation, from running a small cross-stitch business to being asked to lecture at the largest international patchwork show in the world. Retired teacher and author of seven books on cross-stitch and patchwork, Carol will offer an entertaining insight into the highs and lows of her “extra” life as a needlework and patchwork designer.

Wednesday 2nd May, To Be Confirmed - Talk on Castro’s Cuba. Details pending from university of Nottingham’s Forum for Cuban Studies staff.
