two days ...

Sandra, a young Belgian mother, discovers that her workmates have opted for a significant pay bonus, in exchange for her dismissal. She has only one weekend to convince her colleagues to give up their bonuses so that she can keep her job. With a magnificent, authentic central performance from Marion Cotillard, Two Days, One Night, is a powerful statement on community solidarity, a film that is simple on the surface but alive with both compassion and wisdom.

“It is a socialist epic in miniature, a ticking time-bomb thriller in disguise. It is at once intimate and universal, a timely drama with a mythic structure.” (The Guardian)
