Based on a novel by Louis de Bernières, in turn inspired by the legendary true story of the Red Dog who united a disparate local community while roaming the Australian outback in search of his long lost master, this was a huge box office hit in Australia.  Described by the director, Stenders as “a story about stories, a folk tale celebrating that very Australian tradition of the yarn”, tears and laughter are guaranteed.
