Supporting the earthquake damaged mountain communities of Nepal – a Nepalese themed day.

Indoor table top bazaar; activities for all the family; speakers on the area and culture; yaks, yetis, Buddhism, climbing and a raffle.

A Village Devastated: 130 homes, 6 trekking lodges, 1 health centre, 1 school, 2 school hostels.

Corin Hardcastle of the educational charity ‘Yolmo Connect‘ was working in the school of Melamchi village at the time to introduce computers and IT skills in the Yolmo Valley.  He and the charity are now raising funds to bring earthquake relief in the short term; replacement laptops and equipment to schools and teachers in the intermediate term and ultimately to get the IT development and training up and running again.
