Winner of the Best New Director award at the San Sebastian Film Festival and scoring 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, Benedikt Erlingsson’s critically acclaimed debut feature Of Horses and Men is a darkly comedic, episodic tale of the lives of a remote Icelandic community and the deeply intertwined and highly emotive relationship with their horses. Erlingsson, viewing human behaviour through the eyes of the horses, brings deadpan humour to scenes that are sometimes bloody and brutal and not for the squeamish.

“Inventive, offbeat and, at times, jaw-dropping”  David Parkinson, Empire.

Iceland and UK, 2013, 81 mins. (Subtitled)
