If you want your apples juiced

  • Bring apples (up to 9kg or 3 carrier bags) in reasonable condition. Windfalls are OK, as long as there is no rot and you don’t have animals grazing near your tree(s).
  • Help us wash your apples and cut them into quarters to speed up the process.
  • Provide containers for your juice.
  • Cost is 75p per 75cl bottle of juice, plus 25p for optional pasteurising

If you need to have your juice pasteurised, please supply one clean glass wine bottle (or 75cl equivalent) with a screw cap (with labels removed if possible) for every three kilogrammes of apples that you bring. Glass bottles in good condition with screw caps are necessary for pasteurising. Please note, we can’t guarantee that you will get the same bottles back.

If you intend to drink the juice quickly, you can store it for a few days in the fridge. In that case pasteurising will not be necessary and you can bring any sort of bottle. Well rinsed plastic bottles are suitable. If the juice is not pasteurised you can take it away immediately. It will taste even better than the pasteurised juice and cost less but must be used up quickly.
